Curriculum and Assessment
Our program uses the highly effective and research based Creative Curriculum. This curriculum was chosen, because it addresses the needs of the entire child and is highly recommended through our NAEYC Accreditation process. Little Roadrunner Preschool strives to provide the best care and education for our young students, and we believe Creative Curriculum provides the framework to make this possible. If you ever have any questions, or would like more information, please contact the teacher.
When assessing your child, the classroom teacher and associates gather documentation daily to input into Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment. Your child is then scored along a continuum of growth in the areas of: social emotional development, physical development, cognitive, and language. The data provided through the assessment allows the teacher to appropriately place students for small group activities which target more specific activities. GOLD provides teachers and parents with a continuum of growth documenting the child's growth during their time in preschool. GOLD information will be shared with parents 3 times a year.
